Celeste E. Terry MSSA

Celeste is the director of grants at the United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland, Inc., and has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.

Celeste was nominated and inducted into the Shaker Heights Alumni Association Hall of Fame, October 13, 2013.

 She is the recipient of “Outstanding Field Instructor 2012” from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University for her work with U.S. and International graduate students.  She is also a Field Instructor at Cleveland State University Graduate School of Social Work.

Celeste is author of the book, “Transforming Non-Profits for Relevancy in Challenging Times”, which
was reviewed in the national publication, “Successful Fundraising ”, and is now in use in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  

She is the recipient of the City of Cleveland’s 2016 Faces of Sacrifice Award from Mayor Frank Jackson and Community Relations Executive Director, Blaine A. Griffin.   She will be inducted into the Mandel Hall of Achievement – Case Western Reserve University - October 15, 2016.

Celeste is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School, the University of Bridgeport (Bachelor of Science) and Case Western Reserve University (Master’s Degree).  She is a member of US Master Swimming – Shaker Sharks, loves music and technology.
